RECORD EXCHANGE ANNIVERSARY PARTY

Record Exchange Anniversary party poster

It was First Thursday in downtown Boise, and The Record Exchange had an epic anniversary/retirement party! Original owners Michael and Jil were in town, and enjoyed a night of surprise local performers. These 2 have been incredibly supportive in the local music culture, and have always encouraged me to grab more music videos. After they retired, they passed their ownership on to current employees, and they hope that tradition continues.

It was an epic night of talent. I had to leave a bit early to catch the Patty Griffin show. You’ll see some local legends in the videos below.

There are audio remixes for the first few videos, but sadly the RX hard drive filled up some time in the middle of the show. I could feel Chad’s pain when he told me.

Tim Johnstone was a great emcee for the evening. Folks enjoyed delicious free beers from Boise Brewing!

As the construction next door is expected to continue another year, please support The Record Exchange as much as you can. It’s a great way to spend locally. You will want to attend their Customer Appreciation Sale, I believe I heard to be Monday, December 4th. You’ll want to be there.

John Hansen started things off with this Grateful Dead cover with Belinda Bowler.

Johnny Shoes and his daughter did this great Joni Mitchell cover.

Bill Coffey and Bernie Reilly did an awesome Neil Young Cover.

Dan Costello combined a Stan Rogers/Branca and Fowler Etched in Stone song into this.

Divit Cardoza shared another Grateful Dead Cover.

Andrew Cortens and Bernie Reilly joined Curtis Stigers on these songs.

Here’s Steve Fulton with Lindsey Hunt and Dustin Morris.
