The National Parks

We were so thankful that The National Parks had time to fit in a morning session with us, on what was going to be a very busy day for everyone. It was Record Store Day, and we were heading out to Shade City Brewfest as soon as this session was done. SSB by the way, was EPIC.  The National Parks show was Saturday night at Treefort Music Hall, which is a favorite new venue in BODO. The sound there is some of the best in town.

As the band arrived, we did our normal offering of coffee or tea. The soundgirl for The National Parks said to us, “neither, they’re all Mormon.” She told a quick story about how important quality Cat5 ethernet cables are for networking their sound, then headed down to the venue to set up.

The National Parks is a band I kept hearing on my friends’ playlists, and would always ask, “who was that?” Their songs are lovely, and pure. They were so nice, and we loved their songs and harmonies. Their latest album is called, “8th Wonder.”
