There was a seconhttps://youtu.be/WyfTgVLwzt8d show at The Hideout with Sarah Shook and the Disarmers. It was a packed crowd, who loved hearing about Sarah’s journeys.
Some describe Sarah’s music as country punk, twang, or country outlaw. They grew up in a music-restrictive home in North Carolina, where they could only listen to classical or gospel music. They are self-taught on guitar and piano, and identify as bisexual, pansexual, or gender-queer.
Austin blues artist Jackie Venson had a blast playing Treefort. Her mom was at the Main Stage selling merch for her. Jackie joked that her mom is an OBGYN, in case anyone was pregnant. Seeing Jackie was a highlight for me, can’t wait for her to return for a full Boise show.
