River Mornings with Melissa and Kevin
Can you say they reunited when they never actually broke up? No matter how you look at it, Melissa and Kevin are excited to be back on the radio after a seven-year run on one of The River’s sister stations. When that show came to an abrupt and decidedly strange end—we’d get into the details of what happened, but there isn’t nearly enough space here—they stayed in touch by texting each other a bunch of random nonsense only they would get, taking turns picking up the check at lunch and talking about doing a morning show together again, right up until the time it actually happened.
Melissa and Kevin’s friendship goes back to 2002, when they first worked together (not on the air) and immediately hit it off when they realized that their respective snark-o-meters were similarly calibrated. As for version 2.0 of their morning show, Melissa says, “It’s like a reunion with less drama and more caffeine. Kevin knows everything about me and likes me anyway.” Kevin adds, “Melissa and I have been making each other laugh for more than twenty years. Why not let The River’s listeners in on the fun, too?”
