River Mornings with Melissa and Kevin
Boise, ID — Lotus Boise Corp and KRVB (Idaho’s 94.9 The River) announced the debut of their new morning show: River Mornings with Melissa and Kevin. The duo shared the airwaves this morning and the announcement was made today by Nick Coe, General Manager for the company’s Idaho Operations.
In the newly created position, Kevin Murphy will re-join longtime radio partner Melissa Liebenthal on the station to once again wake up the Treasure Valley from 6-10 a.m. on The River.
Savvy listeners may recognize the duo from their successful 7-year stint as morning partners on 107.1 K-HITS from 2015-2022. Melissa and Kevin are just as excited about the show as River listeners are. “Kevin and I are back together. It’s like a reunion but with less drama and more caffeine.” Liebenthal said, “Sincerely, the best person I can think of to work with in tight quarters. He knows everything about me and likes me anyway.”
94.9 The River Brand Manager and Program Director Tim Johnstone is excited to have River Mornings with Melissa and Kevin to help celebrate the station’s 25th Anniversary. “Having been a fan of Kevin’s work with Melissa as a morning show duo, I could not be more excited about him joining River Mornings here at the station.” Johnstone stated, “He is a consummate professional with a quick wit, intimate knowledge of our community, and The River’s commitment to making a positive impact here in the Treasure Valley.”

As for Kevin himself, he’s also excited to be back on the air and on 94.9 The River. “I can’t believe I get to be on the station that’s been my #1 preset forever and to do so with one of my best friends in radio and real life. Melissa and I have been making each other laugh for more than twenty years, so we might as well let River listeners in on the fun too!”
