The 14th annual Japan Day is a family-friendly event to share Japanese culture in Idaho. It features display booths and Japanese performances such as traditional Japanese dance, Koto (Japanese harp), Sanshin, Taiko (traditional Japanese drumming), martial arts, Japanese mini games and more.
Rinsen Wakayagi is a Shihan-level Nihonbuyo dancer with 40 years of experience. She founded “Rin no Kai LA” and has performed extensively in LA. Formerly a Japanese Jidaigeki (Samurai play) actress, she established the NPO Pacific Theatre Production Corp to promote Japanese culture to youth globally and teaches Tea Ceremony and Kimono dressing in the US and Japan.
