SUMMARY:ALIVE AFTER 5 - HIGH STEP SOCIETY - JUNE 17TH
DESCRIPTION:About Alive After 5\nAlive After 5 is Downtown Boise’s longest running free community concert series! Back in 1987\, Alive After 5 was created to give Boiseans something fun to gather for on weekday nights when there wasn’t much else to do. Now\, nearly four decades later\, Downtown Boise is full of exciting dining\, unique shopping\, and fun events every day of the week. Alive After 5 is proud to be at the center of it all bringing a celebration of great local music to The Grove Plaza on Wednesday nights in June and July and proving that yes\, Boise is still Alive and vibrant after 5pm. \nDowntown Boise Foundation is thrilled to continue a partnership with local music booking agency Duck Club to bring new and exciting bands to Downtown Boise. A diverse\, exciting lineup of musicians – both local openers and national and international headlining touring bands – are coming to the downtown stage this summer. \nAbout Tips for Charity\nThe Tips for Charity Program is a much-loved tradition that goes hand-in-hand with Alive After 5. Every year\, Downtown Boise Foundation selects two local charity partners who become beneficiaries for select concert dates. Charity partner volunteers work behind the bar\, selling drinks at each concerts and 100% of tips are donated to the Charity Partner for that night! \nThis year’s Tips for Charity Partners are The Idaho Humane Society and Boise Rock School. Check out their websites and show them some love! \n\nConcert Goer’s Guide\n\n94.9 The River Presents Alive After 5\, Boise’s longest running\, all-ages\, FREE outdoor summer concert series produced annually by Downtown Boise Foundation. AA5 fills the Grove Plaza on Wednesdays in June & July from 5-8pm\, with a mix of nationally and internationally touring artists and local talent. Look for FREE prizes at our River Booth! \nAA5 celebrates diversity and inclusion. Music is a shared experience that brings people from all backgrounds together. We strive to create a community event where everyone feels welcome and a part of Downtown Boise. \nHere are a few tips to make your free concert experience the most fun: \n\nPLAY! DT Plays will be onsite! Kids and grown-ups alike can enjoy free games and fun while listening to the music. Also make sure to visit partner booths at each concert for games\, giveaways\, and merchandise.\nSTAY COOL! A variety of cold drinks\, including non-alcoholic options\, will be offered for sale. Alcoholic beverages will require a wristband\, so don’t forget your ID no matter your age! A water fountain is located behind the bar to fill reusable water bottles and the splash pad will be on.\nTIP GENEROUSLY! 100% of tips at the bars go toward that week’s Tips for Charity Partner.\nSNAP PICS! Don’t forget to tag @DowntownBoise #AliveAfter5Boise when posting about the show!\nGRAB A BITE! The Grove Plaza is surrounded by some of Boise’s best dining options! Whether you’re sitting down to grab a bite before or after the show\, or picking up an order to bring it with you\, you can find plenty of options at downtownboise.org/dine. Outside food is permitted in the Plaza and picnic tables are available. No glass or outside alcohol please!\nSTAY IN TOUCH! Alive After 5 may be moved indoors or canceled if there are unsafe weather conditions on concert day. Be sure to follow @DowntownBoise on socials and check the website for updates if things are looking wiggy!\nAA5 FOR ALL! Accessible bathrooms are provided and most furniture on the Plaza is movable. Event staff are ready at the yellow information tent and happy to help with accessibility concerns! Accessible parking stalls can be found throughout downtown and in nearby public parking garages.\nARRIVE IN STYLE! There is no dedicated parking for The Grove Plaza\, so we suggest walking or biking in if you’re able. We suggest leaving pets at home!\nThere is no smoking of any kind allowed in The Grove Plaza.

Railroad Earth first appeared at the 2019 Sawtooth Valley Gathering\, and we’re excited for their return. Also\, Andy Frasco & The U. N. is back after a short-notice headlining slot in 2024 to close out the main stage. No one wants to miss this show\, as the live Frasco show is as good as it gets. \n\n“I’m always amazed when some of the most treasured bands that have played our main stage want to return to the Sawtooth Valley Gathering\,” said founder James Fowler. “There’s nothing like Railroad Earth\, and playing two sets on a Sunday\, in addition to its Saturday night performance\, makes this a double special occasion and 2026 a festival to remember. It will bring all of us together for what we love most.” \nThe list of exciting returning bands continues with Built To Spill\, one of Idaho’s most influential bands. Founder Doug Martsch\, considered a godfather of modern indie rock\, will perform for the first time since 2022. \nBALTHVS is a three-piece band from Colombia making its debut with a distinctive blend of psychedelic funk\, global grooves\, Middle Eastern melodies\, spiritual jazz improvisations and Latin-tinged rhythms—world music at its finest. In addition\, there will be more great music from Todd Sheaffer\, Jenny Don’t and the Spurs\, The Sweet Lillies\, Blood Lemon and Lena Marie Schiffer. \n\nIn addition\, the Artists-At-Large for 2026\, who always make the Sawtooth Gathering Valley extra special and add to an unforgettable music experience\, are Allie Kral and Railroad Earth’s own Carey Harmon\, John Skehan\, Matt Slocum and George Guthrie. There are many more bands to be announced\, including the not-to-be-missed late-night shows. \n\nSawtooth Valley Gathering has welcomed a wide variety of artists to the stages at Pioneer Park in Stanley during its history\, including Billy Strings\, Leftover Salmon\, Keller Williams\, Dumpstaphunk\, Margo Price\, Fruition\, ALO\, Daniel Rodriguez\, MarchFourth and many more. \n\nFans can expect to encounter familiar artists and meet new acts in a variety of settings\, from the Stanley Street Dance to the festival main stage at Pioneer Park\, situated on a hilltop affording a 360-degree view of the incomparable Sawtooth Valley. Festival days start with workshops and early sets and finish with nightly late-night shows at Velvet Falls Dance Hall in the Mountain Village Resort and Kasino Club. \nSince the first Sawtooth Valley Gathering\, for every festival pass purchased—whether one-day or four-day—a donation has been made to nonprofits\, including the Stanley School Parents Association\, the Stanley Sawtooth Rural Fire Department\, Sawtooth Search & Rescue and the Salmon River Clinic. The City of Stanley and the people of the Sawtooth Valley have always represented a worthwhile investment\, and SVG11 will continue the tradition of giving \nBack. A $4 donation is split among the nonprofits\, and the Stanley School Parents Association has been a beneficiary since the start. Others have joined in over the years. \n  \nAbout Sawtooth Valley Gathering \nStanley\, Idaho\, is the gateway to the Sawtooth Mountains\, which offer abundant outdoor recreation\, including hiking\, biking\, rafting\, fishing and exploring the world-famous Redfish Lake. SUMMARY:ALIVE AFTER 5 - CLAY STREET UNIT - JUNE 24TH
SUMMARY:ALIVE AFTER 5 - STEPHEN DAY - JULY 8TH
