TREEFORT 101
Never been to Treefort? Don’t worry, we’ll cover many things in this “How to Treefort” blog!
Treefort is for everyone. It is made up of several different “Forts.” Kidfort, Hackfort, Comedyfort, Artfort, Dragfort (includes a queer meetup at Hap Hap Lounge), Alefort, Foodfort (local, regional, and national chefs!), Skatefort…just to name a few.
Have you seen a 3-ring circus? This is more of a 100-ring delightful circus spread all over town. Venues from Julia Davis Park, through downtown, and to the Neurolux and beyond participate with stages inside and outside. Weekend night and weekends, you can catch the free shuttle that travels between the Main Stage in Julia Davis Park, to several downtown venues and back. You can even hear bands on the bus!
The best pass you can buy is their VIP pass with zipline, the cheapest way you can go is enjoy some free shows and single shows or day passes, but they are selling quickly!
Prices for Treefort tickets go up SOON (3/1), so get them now to save money to buy your souvenir beer cup!

Bands can be found everywhere. Download the Treefort App, it’s the best festival app I’ve ever seen. You can make your schedule, hear the bands, share with friends, and even get updates on how long the wait lines are! The website also has much of the same info. Update your app often! If there’s a pretty big band you want to see, you might want to arrive a show or two early to make sure you can get in.
Here are some basics to know and bring.
Sunscreen, earplugs, funky fun clothes and layers (It can be between 40-80 degrees), comfortable walking shoes, phone cord and charger, your steel Treefort cup, cash to tip your bus driver.
Transportation happens mostly on foot, bike, bus, or rideshare. Watch out for drunken scooter drivers, things get crazy in the evenings!
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! You don’t want to miss that brunch with your friends because you had too much fun the night before. Treefort is a fun marathon with your friends, don’t drop out early!
Beverages can be found at all the venues, and at Alefort. Most of those are on tap, put in your steel mug. There are a few places like the smaller stage near the Main Stage, that you might find a canned beverage that’s a bit more affordable. Off-site, your cheapest places for say a “peeburr” (PBR) might be Realms Arcade, and Pie Hole, in case you’re saving up some money for awesome merch!
Food trucks can be found in Julia Davis Park, and you can enjoy some finer things at Foodfort. Pro tip, El Korah Shrine Basement may offer late night breakfasts to help sober you up to get home!
FREEFORT! Also known as Second Chance Shows. You’ll see many of these popping up at different venues!
Here’s the schedule for Boise Brewing! Grab an amazing burger from their Broad Street Bistro, and hear some great bands for free.

Here’s the Payette Brewing concert lineup. All-ages and no wristband required!
