Clover and Ethan joined us the day after their Sunday night show in Boise. Only 3 shows into their tour, we were so happy they could join us before they left on their next journey for Seattle! We did this session in our River Studio.
They were really patient as I had our engineer help me reset whatever was going on with our compressor/limiter in the mixer. When Clover played the sound check, the guitar would go in and out. It was driving me nuts. I was so glad to figure out how to turn off those default settings!
They seemed in a pretty good mood for a Monday morning, and were so kind to share a couple of tunes.
They played some beautiful guitars. Clover played a Gretsch Jim Dandy dreadnaught guitar, and Ethan played a 1961 Gibson LG3.
Clover’s album Finer Things produced by Carrie Kay, with a couple of deluxe tracks produced by Brad Cook, who Clover describes at “A Wizard.” This is one of those songs.
Her voice is so pure, hope Clover returns this summer!
