Ghost Funk Orchestra at Treefort

The Record Exchange Second Chance shows have been so much fun! They set a record for their first 10-Piece band on stage, with the New York group Ghost Funk Orchestra.

The band had played the night before at The Hideout, and had another show scheduled later today. Their jazz, funk, horn, harmonies, and dance synchronicity made for a really exciting in-store performance!

It’s obvious that band leader Seth Applebaum has created a treasure here. Now that we’ve sampled a bit of this music, Boise would love to see a full show.

Tomorrow at noon, listen for an interview and performance from country artist Margo Cilker. She has an amazing and pure voice, she will perform 4 live songs for our Lunch in The Library. Catch her shows tomorrow night at Basque Center before Sarah Cahoone, Margo also plays Saturday at The Modern.

Catch another Record Exchange Second Chance show tomorrow, a solo performance from Sarah Shook. Not to be confused with The Shook Twins, this is the singer from Sarah Shook and the Disarmers. We’ll be there, and will bring remixes and video to this blog.

Texas blues artist Jackie Venson hits the Main Stage tomorrow at 3. After that, I’m headed finally to Alefort.

Enjoy Treefort! Hug your friends, find a ride home. Remember important things like hydration, sunscreen, phone charger, empty water bottle, and earplugs. If your dog can’t wear earplugs, please don’t take them to the loudest stages in town? Pace yourself, we’ve got 3 more days!
