Thanks for the Memories Grinkers

Grinkers Grand Palace in Eagle loaded up the games and closed the doors for good. Dang COVID. This Treasure Valley treasure was a hands-on museum of vintage and classic arcade games and pinball machines. More than 350 in the collection. The largest collection in the United States. And all games cost only a quarter to play. My arcade-obssessed family was so happy when Grinkers opened. We considered it our second home over the years. The food was good. The beer was good. It was something we did as a family.

Grinkers also helped grow our Treasure Valley Pinball organization. We hosted matches there and encouraged players to practice their skills. The arcade was key to making a local pinball scene happen. It also inspired my family to open a private pinball machine museum a year ago. You can learn more about the Ugly Gold Couch museum here.

Thank you to Grinkers mastermind Steve Barbey. It was a massive undertaking. He tells me the entire collection was sold to a collector in the Salt Lake City area, who is dreaming of opening his own arcade. I hope so.
