We worked for weeks setting up this amazing session with St. Paul and the Broken Bones. Kevin, from the morning show, sat down with Paul Janeway before the set. You’ll soon get this interview as a podcast on our website, RiverBoise.
I was happily up until 1 a.m. last night, because The Record Exchange was so kind to share raw audio with me. This delights me, as I could take time to fine tune every single instrument and channel like a studio mix. Hearing 3 horns is a dream, and they all slip in and out of leads without any effort. Paul’s voice is strong, and amazing. I hope you can kick back your day after Treefort, and enjoy listening to these.
This 8 piece band from Alabama had played at The Record Exchange years before. This Treefort show was Standing Room Only!
Some people thanked us for sponsoring this event, as they were said to miss St. Paul on the Main Stage when they had other shows scheduled.
These in-store sets at The Record Exchange are precious. You get to see the bands in an intimate setting, and get the VIP experience of a photo, and having the band sign merch. Paul Janeway was humble for every minute of it, even though they are one of Elton John’s favorite bands. He invited them to play his AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party! Paul said it was wild to be surrounded by billionaires.
Treefort had some of the best concert drone footage I’d ever seen. That moment where St. Paul was on top of a ladder in the crowd at the Main Stage, was captured beautifully HERE.
It was such an honor to host St. Paul and the Broken Bones at this Second Chance Treefort Event!
Coming soon, a possible session with Ratboys!
