We are so honored to have been the official radio sponsor of Treefort! Hangover Tickets are on sale right now, BTW, your cheapest chance at 2027 tickets!
The Seattle band Smokey Brights is a Boise favorite, and we were delighted when The Record Exchange invited them for a Second Chance Show that we could present! Sit back and enjoy our remixes, on your day of Treefort recovery.
Smokey Brights even gave us a quick interview after the set, where we learned that they are all keeping day jobs as they take breaks for touring! While they hope to eventually go full time, but their jobs right now range from attorney, to bartender, to music educators. Much love to RX for sharing their office space, and for Dave Eilers sharing raw audio files so I could do these remixes!
Look for a special Smokey Brights vinyl release Friday, April 3rd through their website and socials!
Smokey Brights gave us this beautiful song, asking we keep protecting each other, our refugees, our neighbors, and our TRANS FRIENDS.
A local yokel on my YouTube posted a comment on the above song that they should stick to music and not do politics. They obviously know nothing about this band, or the amazing community vibe at Treefort. Another angry soul had left a nasty comment on our FB page where I’d left a post about Dragfort, explaining that is why they’ll never listen to our station.

Whatever banners they pay to fly, or flag they won’t let fly, the loving people of Boise are not joining that hate train.
Treefort was the breather that many people needed. It was a chance to exhale. A place people could feel safe. A weekend filled with hugs from friends they hadn’t seen all winter. Smokey Brights was the band we needed to help bring ALL of that together. They said they kind of forget that people are more welcoming in a bigger city. They went to the rally, because they knew it was important for Boise. The Record Exchange was the safe space we all needed to hang out together with our common interest of loving live music.
It had been years since I’d heard this song, they gave us a great Clash cover!
We hope Smokey Brights will return soon and often! Their RX set was a full hour long, and they did a full hour set of different songs later that night at Olympic Venue!
Coming next, our session with St. Paul and the Broken Bones!
