Palmyra joined us for a session before their Neurolux show. Tim had seen them at a conference this summer. The bandmates all met in college.
We blew their minds, telling them it’s pronounced Boy SEE. I thought immediately of Jewel’s Boise song.
My tech didn’t get the band in frame on my camera, so I had to use our Facebook video. I’m so bummed to not have backup video, as one of these cameras is as blurry as if a dog had just licked it. My apologies, I’ll replace it if I can find better video.
Jake from Illiterate Light helped work on their album. Their songwriting and playing is great, you can tell they get along really well and love playing music.
The band got their name from a Houndmouth song.
This is a brand new song from Palmyra.
After the session, we mentioned that Neko Case is coming soon. Sasha from the band was really excited. They said the first time their band had a big live show, it was with Neko Case!
Fans enjoyed Idaho Kombucha, and we had just enough Flying Pie pizza to feed the band and our staff.
The folks in Palmyra were so talented and friendly, we really hope they come back soon!
