MC Taylor, AKA Hiss Golden Messenger, joined us in studio. It was nice to get at least one more session in for the year.
Originally from North Carolina, this artist loves being from California now.
MC learned much about music by watching his dad play music in lots of weddings. Growing up, they listened to artists like Joni Mitchell, and Buffalo Springfield.
His latest album is called “Jump For Joy.” Hiss Golden Messenger likes supporting the nonprofit work of Bull City School’s Foundation. His parents, wife, and sister all have a teaching background. $1 from each ticket sale goes to this cause.
MC said after the interview, that a couple of years ago Molly Tuttle’s band was touring with them. He liked their drummer so much that they hired him, and he’s been a part of their band ever since.
New Grape is a Southwest soda that MC said is impossible to find. He said this song may, or may not, be about that soda.
