Today Smokey Brights stopped in before their Great Garden Escape show, to share a quick session.
This band is really fun and positive, with great harmonies. It was really a treat to hear them play acoustic!
Kim and Ryan are married, and talked about the huge amount of communication they have with each other. They met while working at a pizza shop in Seattle. Kim is actually also a fully barred attorney, though they hire an entertainment lawyer so she doesn’t have to do that part.

We talked about missing Sasquatch Festival, how that promoter has started The Thing Festival in Port Townsend, and how we’ll soon have the new Flipside Fest in Garden City.
Kim said that they have to get up at 4 a.m. tomorrow morning, but “that’s all part of the job.”
This song is about running into an ex years later, and wonder, “Ooh. Maybe that should have worked out.”
