Images being shared in the Idaho Entomology Group on Facebook of many praying mantic egg cases. A case is called an ootheca. There are up to 200 babies inside, they will be ready to emerge and immediately start eating in the spring. The case is tough. No need to pry it free and move it indoors. It’s possible a temperature change could release the tiny critters early. That wouldn’t be good for them.
