Another year of unplanned pumpkins growing out of a compost bin. I have had more of these volunteer pumpkins than in years when I plant on purpose. They’re all small, the smallest looks like an orange baseball. And I think I saw a squash bug, but we’re close to the end of the season so no big deal. Just in case, I paraded around the plastic bag of squash bug carcasses I use to let them know what I am capable of, and they should just voluntarily leave.
