Milkweed Seed Harvest

It took several years after starting plants from seed to get a good crop of seed pods of showy milkweed. I missed several that popped before I could pick them. Hopefully, the seeds will sail to new locations to provide habitat for monarchs and other pollinators.

It’s easiest to harvest the seed if the pods are picked right before they naturally open. I use bouncy balls and zip-loc bags. Details on that Monday.

Plus, I have seed to give away. If you are interested, let me know so I an mail a packet to you.
