New Music on The River

Check out some of the newest additions to The River’s playlist:

Chris Cornell – “Patience”

We’ve been told that Chris Cornell’s daughter asked him to record a version of this song so she could sing along with him. Heartstrings officially tugged. This song, of course, was one of Guns N Roses biggest hits. Like he’s done with other fantastic covers, Cornell brings something special to the song.

Taylor Swift + Bon Iver – “exile”

Taylor Swift surprised her fans with a new album recorded during this time of Covid. It is definitely not the kind of record her fans expect from her. It’s called folklore and it is a collection of songs with roots in the singer-songwriter genre. This song with Justin Vernon, AKA Bon Iver, is absolutely lovely.

Kacey Musgraves – “Oh, What A World 2.0” (Earth Day version)

Kacey Musgraves updates a song from her Grammy winning Album Of The Year. It is a song of hope when we could all use some.

Lianne La Havas – “Can’t Fight”

Lianne La Havas is a young British indie-folk singer who has just released a new self titled collection of songs. Put on your headphones and chill.

The Chicks – “Sleep At Night”

They are back. They’ve ditched the Dixie and have returned with a new album that finds them expanding their sound while singing about issues that many of us, women especially, deal with on a daily basis. But they still find a way to have fun.

Tame Impala – “Is It True”

Tame Impala has released another bouncy song from their latest album The Slow Rush. Kevin Parker leads this Australian band which was scheduled to headline some of the world’s biggest festivals this year.
