A present from our Athena Kitty. A mostly-dead white-lined sphinx moth. Sometimes called a hummingbird moth or hawk moth. It’s furry and has big eyes. It’s a pollinator, too.
But it has a dark side. The caterpillar stage looks a little scary. It’s a horn worm that feasts on tomatoes, grapes, apple trees, elm trees, fuchsia and many other plants.
