Greenhouse Trip. Finally

I did a speed-shopping trip at Edwards Greenhouse and Nursery this week. It’s not the way I usually like to shop at a nursery. The wandering and plant discoveries are part of the fun. But Edwards requested that people bring lists and be efficient. Face masks are required. I’m OK with that, but I didn’t realize until I got there that it meant I couldn’t smell the plants. It’s part of the experience. I am thankful I was able to purchase several types of agastache to feed my backyard hummingbirds, butterflies and bees. I inhaled the agastache licorice scent when I loaded the plants into my car.

They are also stocked with a fun variety of salvias this year and a couple of those came home with me.

Three people came up to me and said “Hi, Debbie.” I didn’t know who they were. The face masks tricked me. I had to ask. Then I felt kinda bad. They recognized me and I didn’t recognize them. I miss people.
