Bellinis. Where can I get one locally?

A sweet late afternoon with my mom while I was in Scottsdale recently, at Oregano’s Pizza Bistro. This is one of my favorite restaurants on the planet. Everything is over-the-top delicious. The drinks we’re holding are called Gibblini Bellinis. I first had a Bellini in Seattle ages ago, and rarely see them on drink menus. They’re a peach slush usually blended with Prosecco or Champagne. At Oregano’s, they’re blended with peach schnapps, rum and splashed with chianti.

The Bellini was invented at Harry’s Bar in Venice nearly 100 years ago. A toga was involved.

If you know where I can find a Bellini locally, let me know. I’m dreaming of that beautiful drink.

For dinner, we split an order of cheesy bread and their “small” Caesar salad with grilled chicken on the side.

Dear Oregano’s, please come to the Treasure Valley. I hear they are opening a location in Denver soon.

Here’s another favorite. The Huge Guaca-Tony
