Devon Gilfillian

We had a last-minute session yesterday with Devon Gilfillian and his band! They were in town to open the sold out show for Brothers Osborne.

Listeners enjoyed lunch from Boise Bistro Market, as we heard stories from Devon. He said he had a Psychology degree and no idea what to do with it, so he joined Americorps.. He decided he wanted to do music full time.

The guys were very fun and nice. We felt so lucky to get some songs just before the album is released. It doesn’t yet have a title, but you know it has a great future being on Capitol Records. They were also able to use producer Shawn Everett, who mixed the “Sound & Color” album for Alabama Shakes, and he’s worked with Weezer, and The War on Drugs. Devon’s voice is rich, I can’t wait to see what this album sounds like!

The Knitting Factory show was great, it was fun to see the full energy of the band with drums. You’ll be hearing a lot from Devon Gilfillian.
