The made-up word is a blending of “purpose” and “generosity.” It’s a direct connection to pay for specific needs in the community. I chose to follow needs in the West Ada School District. Caldwell is also available, with the needs lists referred through schools. Nearly 200 have been helped in the West Ada District in just a few weeks. Browse the needs and click to fund.
You can also browse the needs that have already been met to get an idea of often hidden experiences in the community. Social media for social good. I put the app on my phone a couple of weeks ago. It’s a gentle reminder to help when and if you can.
Purposity is available for iOS and Adroid. The company behind the project also sells branded merchandise to help fund needs and keep the app running.
