This group joked about how their first album had the sounds of traffic and congas in the background. This EP will soon be followed by a full album.
We had a full band and horns, they chose to switch their microphones out with their own. They gave us some great music, including this fun cover.
They played this single for us, it has been featured in the FIFA 15 soundtrack. Saint Motel looked forward to grabbing a meal at Bacon, (how have I not been there yet?), before they played their show at Neurolux.
If you’re headed to Sasquatch at The Gorge this weekend, they’ll be playing the main stage on Sunday!
A highlight for me, was meeting Jessica Berg who was helping set up the band. She told me about an amazing non-profit site. http://www.soundgirls.org/ offers free membership. They say that women make up only 5% of the professional workforce in audio and music production. This is a great site for networking, and they offer audio camps and workshops for kids. Men can register also, female membership of this group is about 65%. I’m thrilled to have been told about this community!
